Never try an untested recipe!
I have to say that my culinary skills have improved greatly over the past few years. I'm not up to the level of my cranberry relish sis-in-law, but I have a few hits in my piles of recipes.
Chalk this one up to experience, and an colossal waste of money: last night, we had friends over and I decided to try this chicken ragout thing-a-ma-jig. Well, I thought a ragout was like a stew and so expected a nice, juicey, flavorful dish to impress my guests....
Not quite what I got.
Instead, we what we got, was $60 worth of Szchewan take out.
At least we've got good leftovers tonight!
I've got a minestrone soup in the slowcooker right now... I'm confident I will acheive success with this one!
