Grief and lessons

Sad, sad news here last week. My boss' daughter was killed in a car accident - just 17 years old. I got to work on Friday morning, after having spent the better part of the morning complaining and badmouthing my boss to my husband, only to find out this devastating news. And boy, did I feel guilty. I know it wasn't my fault (obviously!) but I had such a rotten feeling in my gut and in my heart about the whole situation.... However, rumour has it that she wasn't wearing her seatbelt - and her boyfriend, the driver, is fine, so the rumour might be true. That is what I will take away from this tragedy, because sometimes I will leave the house without my seatbelt on, and the accident last week took place just a few kms from my house. It's times like this that make you very grateful for what you have. Cherish every day!
