Loss of a piece of history

A devastating fire yesterday completely destroyed a piece of history here in the Eastern Townships. Auberge Hatley, a five star auberge with a world-renowned kitchen and wine cellar, has been a part of the tourism industry here pretty much since its inception in 1903. A very sad event. Even sadder because our good friends Trevor and Jessica had booked two nights there for their wedding! They'll have to find a new place to stay, but not much will compare to the warmth and impressiveness of the Hatley - especially not Bishop's residence!!
